Avante Behavioral Health Plan (ABHP) was established for employers who understand the importance of providing mental health assistance to their employees, and in doing so, ensure optimal performance, productivity and morale in their work environment.
Let ABHP "carve-out" the mental health portion of your overall healthcare benefits. Select from our benefit plan options to make sure you and your employees get the most comprehensive, appropriate care available. ABHP provides outpatient services, inpatient services, chemical dependency treatment, mental health parity services, and regular reporting on utilization and performance. All ABHP plans feature our network of experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists that meet stringent credentialing requirements.
Outpatient Services
Outpatient services include crisis intervention and outpatient therapy (on an individual or group basis), psychological testing, intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and outpatient chemical dependency programs at local facilities.
Inpatient Services
Inpatient services include inpatient psychiatric and chemical dependency/substance abuse for adults, adolescents and children.
Mental Health Parity Services
Under Assembly Bill 88, full service health plans and specialty health plans such as ABHP are obligated to provide coverage for certain mental health services in parity with general medical benefits. This means that health care coverage for severe mental disorders must be equal to that of physical disorders. The terms and conditions of a group’s general medical plan, such as co-payments, deductibles and benefit maximums will also apply to its mental health parity benefits. A list of the diagnoses subject to this parity are included in the benefit summary for any given group.
Reporting and Correspondence
Accountability for services rendered is a built-in component for all ABHP benefit plans. We provide utilization reports to employers on a regular basis and group presentations are available upon request. ABHP assists in meeting reporting requirements and complies with all requirements relating to all HIPAA requirements relating to record access and record confidentiality. ABHP maintains communication with the employees and employer groups through payroll stuffers, posters and other communication mechanisms. ABHP will conduct an orientation meeting for all members, provide brochures detailing access to the plan, benefits and additional ongoing assistance as needed.
